Prophetic School Training 101

Teacher's Guide • Weeks 2–8

Designed to help you facilitate discussion, reinforce key points, and lead students in practical activation exercises.

Week 2

Qualifications for Ministry

Objective

To dismantle the belief that a believer must be perfect or fully mature before they can minister. Students will learn that ministry is actually a tool God uses to bring about maturity.

Key Scriptures

  • Matthew 4:19 – "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men."
  • Ephesians 4:11-16 – Ministry is essential for the maturing process.

Teaching Focus

The Disciples as Examples

Highlight that Jesus chose men who were flawed. Ask the class which flaw they relate to most: lack of faith, lack of understanding, stinginess, or selfish ambition.

The "Hatchery" Analogy

Discuss C.S. Lewis's quote about the egg. Emphasize that "hatching" (transitioning into ministry) is messy but necessary for flight.

Action over Perfection

Remind students they don't need a theology degree; they need a willing heart. Faith and character develop as they go.

Class Activation: The "Increase Our Faith" Prayer

Have the class identify one area where they feel "disqualified" (e.g., fear, lack of bible knowledge). Lead them in a corporate prayer similar to the disciples in Luke 17:5, asking the Lord specifically to increase their faith in that area.
